The Virgnia State Trojans went on the war path in 2017 and finished with a record of 10-1. Coach Reggie Barlow and his Orange and Blue were powered by an offense that averaged 463 yards per game. What coach failed to tell his opponents was that he had a Trojan Horse in Trenton Cannon. Now the league and anyone following the CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association), as well as black college football knew about Cannon ( in  2016 he ran for 1214 yards ,averaging 7.2 yards per carry and 110 yards per game).

Well to make a long story short,  in 2017 Trent picked up where he left off in 2016 leaving every VSU opponent trying to figure out how to stop him. The Hampton native  finished his final year in Petersburg with 1638  yards rushing and averaged 148 yards per contest. The Senior running back  had a two week period this season in which he achieved his season highs. First in the game against Bowie State; The battle between the top two teams in the CIAA. Cannon used his legs to run past and through Bowie State’s defense for 234 yards on 19 carries and 1 Touchdown.

Trenton-Cannon-BCHOF-POY-List--300x189.jThe following week against Lincoln (Pa), Cannon averaged a whopping 28 yards per carry as he rushed for 253 yards on only nine carries against the Lions. By the way, he made three visits to the endzone in that game. There were only two games this past season that the young back did not have 100 yards in rushing  ( 87 against Livingstone and 65 in the D2 Playoffs against  West Georgia). But there was a six game streak during the season in which Cannon hit the 100 yard mark each game.Trenton Cannon finished this past season with 1638 yards  on 212 carries  averaging 7.7 yards per carry and he made 17 trips to the end zone. Trent even found time to catch the ball  21 times for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns. Not to mention he had 25 kick returns for 821 yards and 2 more TDs.

jets have the worst rb core in the league

Jets have the worst TE in the league

Jets wrs are bottom tier maybe near the bottom-before you get too excited about anderson enuwa and kearse consider the worst team in football has landry gordon and coleman-our guys most would be wr3 or non starters on other teams

our roster is why we will win under 5 games this year-maybe 3 games

thankfully the browns were the browns and took mayfield forcing the jets to actually take the best qb in the draft -mac adds one to two player per draft while at the same time the team looses previous high picks to FA

Here is the list of teams with guaranteed worse RBs (In no Particular Order):

1. Ravens

2. Bears

3. Denver

4. Colts

5. Dolphins

6. Raiders

7. Seahawks

8. Bucs

9. Redskins

Here is a list of Guaranteed Worse WRs (In no Particular Order):

1. Ravens

2. Cowboys

3. Colts

4. Redskins

5. Panthers

Here is a list of Guaranteed Worse TE teams (In no Particular Order):

1. Arizona

2. Ravens

3. Denver

4. Rams

5. Raiders

6. Seahawks

That's just who I think is definitely going to be worse.  If any of these 16 WRs, 5 TEs, or 5 RBs actually breakout it will be a different story.  But just to say they are the worst is lazy. Do they have any high end talent... No... but are they starved, absolutely not.  They have tons of interchangeable guys and the best of the bunch will be a household name in a year or two. I hate to say it, but it is in the NE mindset that you bring in tons a average talent to tryout.  The ones that prove themselves stay the rest get canned.
