I don't think so.  Burnett is pretty much slot only.  He is Crowder's backup and primarily competing with Dortch, who adds ST ability.

I think he's a PS guy or at most a replacement for Peake.  

I remember looking into him a bit because I tend to like height/speed prospects.  I didn't like his tape much, but part of that was because I think they had Treadwell there, so defenses focused on him and he was wide open at times.  Similar to defenses focusing on Ridley, so Ardarius looked like a stud.

Doesn’t hurt to keep trying guys out. If you know you are going to cut someone, cut him and try someone else out. I like this approach. It may not pay huge dividends but you never know.

The Jets have choices at WR. Our top 3 are set. The number 4 spot is likely Burnett. Then we have special teams guys like Dortch, Bellamy and Peake. I think we could keep 7 WRs since a couple of those guys are really just special teams guys.
