R44
He was, actually, a very fascinating college player -- Played wide receiver, running back, quarterback, punter and all special teams for the Tigers. To top it off, even played a bit for former N.J. Nets coach J.Calipari's b-ball team at Memphis When DeAngelo Williams went down briefly last season, Avery moved to running back and rushed for 575 yards and 5 TD's. Perfect example of the adage: Jack of all trades, master of none Actually, looking at his Pro Day #'s, he should thank the Jets for letting him wear a uniform for a day (he timed real poor for a skill player)...I think he gets to keep his personalized, authentic Jets jersey Maurice Avery WR/RB Avery (5-11¾, 211) ran his 40s in 4.71 (with the wind) and 4.76 (against). He also ran the short shuttle in 4.18 and the three-cone drill in 7.07. In addition, he had a 33½-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-2 broad jump. The Pro Day numbers of the player Avery backed up in 2005: DeAngelo Williams RB Williams (5-9, 207) ran his 40s in 4.40 seconds (with the wind) and 4.48 (against). He was wearing nubs, and he ran outdoors on a rubber track. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.10, the three-cone drill in 6.57 and the long shuttle in 10.61. In addition, he had a 34½-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-9 broad jump. He caught the ball well during positional drills . .
SeniorFlaJet
This guy is gonna be a star. Why oh why did we cut him? He tried to sell Herm's barbecue recipe secrets to an undercover FBI agent posing as a commissary chef.
