Ross passes away Wed, 17 May 2006 07:07:55 -0700 The Boston Herald reports former <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl">NFL TE Dan Ross has died at the age of 49. Ross reportedly collapsed at his home in Atkinson, N.H., shortly after returning from an early evening jog. He was taken to Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, where he died, according to a family member. Ross was drafted 30th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1979 NFL draft and spent parts of six seasons with the Bengals. He is co-holder of the Super Bowl record for most catches in one game with 11. Ross, who also played in the USFL for the New Orleans/Portland Breakers from 1984-85, returned to the NFL in 1985 with the Bengals and Seattle Seahawks before finishing his career in 1986 with the Green Bay Packers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
