FoxJet
Jets | Team feeling out the running-back market Thu, 3 Aug 2006 14:16:15 -0700 The New York Daily News reports the New York Jets are exploring the running-back market, according to sources, an indication the club might not think RB Curtis Martin (knee) will be ready for the season opener, if at all. Martin has said he wants to play this season, but there are growing indications he might not fit in the Jets' plans. Chances are the Jets will wait a game or two before doing anything, giving them a chance to evaluate RBs Cedric Houston, Derrick Blaylock and rookie RB Leon Washington. NIGHT STALKER
I hope they mean preseason games and not regular season as far as waiting to make a decision.
Sperm Edwards
Please say it ain't so. How ever will we win a championship or win 11 games without Curtis Martin? Cannot be. No team has EVER won a superbowl without feeding the ball to Martin over and over and over and over...

The Troll
dangelo williams was there for the taking dammit Only if we traded up. Unless you are implying we should have taken him fourth.
GREENSMACKS
he was taken 28th and we were 29th only 1 spot
CoachTsurfing
So we would have had to trade up one spot. I really think we need to see what Blaylock, Houston, and Leon can do before the Jets panic and go out and trade a high pick on Jones or Brown. The only back I would have taken in the first or second round would have been Bush, and only if he fell to us at the fourth spot.
