And somehow we should have known McNeil and Colston would preform at an all pro level...come on...this is bs

Colston was a complete fluke, that I agree with you, but Marcus McNeill certainly was not. He was one of the highest rated OT prospects who did a great job blocking for Caddillac and Ronnie Brown at Auburn and went 41 games without giving up a sack.

But, for some silly reasons, the hype machine felt a 280 lb guy who can't run-block was a much better prospect.

You make it sound like D'Brick was a complete bust which clearly isn't true. Was McNeil better last year? Yes But i still think that Brick will have the longer and better career.

Paranoia over McNeill's back was the only thing that dropped his stock, not his play or combine workouts.

Personally I would have taken Ngata at #4. There was an unusual number of tackles in the draft last year. Top nose tackles are harder to find and entire drafts go by without a single good prospect (let alone a great one). Tackles, even if less talented than D'Brick, come out every season. At #4 a tackle (or any player) should be the whole package & not just elite (or potentially elite) at only one aspect of his game.

Ferguson certainly wasn't the worst pick we could have made, but it was far from the best one.
