I didn't really think I would have to defend that comment, but I guess since it's "human conversation" it's a very valuable commodity. Check my post count and compare it to my vcash - I think I've bet on two events in the year I've been here. Hippie is better than emo? All the same to me. I guess emo showers more, but the makeup might run on my shirt. I think of human communication more along the lines of talking with my wife and friends, rather than faceless people on the web. I started coming here a lot because I get aggravated because my Italian is not very strong and I spend every day arguing and gesticulating at people who can't understand me. I like it here and there are plenty of people I'd be glad to hang with or tailgate with before a game, but forgive me if screaming in broken English at the chick in the pasticceria seems more like human communication to me. In fact, if I were to discuss said poor season, I would probably grow even more angry. Conversation is great for some sometimes, but different strokes for different folks, ya know. Also, mood, time, and place factor in this difficult equation. I just don't think you can say conversation is better for the human spirit than gambling, and I'm a hippie too!
