But which one has more skeletons in his closet? Which one is higher up on the scumbagginess meter? Which sports figure has the least problems with going beyond the boundaries of a common ethical standard? Which of these two heavyweight dicks wins the belt? Let's take a closer look: BONDS: shunned his own role model and godfather, Willie Mays, throughout his career. This resulted in Mays only giving lukewarm support when he was passed by Bonds on the all-time HR list. BELICHECK: shunned his role model, Bill Parcells, who had anticipated that Belicheck would take over the reigns of the New York Jets after his departure. ADVANTAGE: Push BONDS: Despite winning 3 MVP awards in his "pre-steroids" era, Bonds watched as Mark McGwire steal the show and break the single season HR record. This, Bonds later admitted, angered Bonds moreso because McGwire was white and receiving more attention than himself. Bonds, thus, is a self-described racist. BELICHECK: Hates everyone he comes into contact with equally. Thus, he's not simply racist. He's anti-human. ADVANTAGE: BELICHECK BONDS: Once fought with Jeff Kent in the Giants dugout during a game. BELICHECK: Feuded with Tedy Bruschi, a man who led the Pats D to 3 World Titles and had a stroke, over the fact that Bruschi was missing out on training camp in the 2006 offseason. ADVANTAGE: BELICHECK BONDS: Took the cream and the clear, supplied by trainer Greg Anderson (subsequently thrown under the bus) then tried to claim that he didn't know what he was taking. BELICHECK: Stole $1 million from the late Leon Hess and bolted for New England. ADVANTAGE: BELICHECK BONDS: Had his likeness removed from all video games by withdrawing from players union. BELICHECK: Is the worst dressed head coach in NFL history (okay, this has nothing to do with the previous statement, but it needed to be said). (Edit: Belicheck is also not on any of the Madden video games, either) ADVANTAGE: BONDS BONDS: While little his mentioned of his personal life, one can reasonably assume that Bonds loves his children (as evidenced by the fact that his son is the Giants batboy) and treats his wife like every other human being he comes into contact with. BELICHECK: Cheated on his wife, twice, and ruined any chance of winning a "Husband of the Year" award anytime soon. ADVANTAGE: BELICHECK BONDS: Career HR record is forever tainted due to grand jury testimony and perjury alligations. BELICHECK: Three Super Bowl Titles forever tainted for most recent videogate scandal, and cost his team draft picks. He's still under investigation as we speak, while other NFL coaches across the country are beginning to speak out against Belicheck. ADVANTAGE: BELICHECK So there you have it. As long as Belichick is in the NFL in any form, we'll hear about him and his "greatness" constantly.
