The Troll
Is this going to be televised? I want to see Felix Pie in action. From what I hear, he sounds like a young Juan Pierre.

Last year's Futures game was broadcast on ESPN, so I'm assuming they'll do the same with this one.

faba
faba, could you possibly see the Mets trying to deal Lastings Milledge to a non-contender? Milledge is our number one position guy in the minors- can not see Minaya trading him at this point Petit is interesting in that he does not throw hard but has been putting up great stats in the minors

BlackLabelJetsFan
I can't see the Mets trading Milledge. Apparently, from what Ive read and heard, he'd got the speed and range to play CF, the arm to play RF, and the bat to play either. Petit is a big guy if I recall who, like Faba said doesnt throw hard at all, but just gets people out. Hard guy to get a read on, and until he reaches the higher levels, they may not know exactly what they've got. If he still gets people out at AAA, then I think he's the real deal. The Mets minors at this point are definately bottom heavy - their top prospects are mostly in A ball and some at AA. AAA, like a lot of organizations now, is stocked with guys like Benji Gil, Gerald Williams, Jose Offerman, and Brian Daubach - older guys they can call up (as they have with the last 3) in a pinch in case of injuries.
