Nick Ferraro
Today is Jack Lambert's birthday. The funny thing about evolution is that a hall-of-fame linebacker from the seventies, like Lambert, would have to take his skinny ass over to free safety if he wanted to make a 2005 NFL roster. Maxman
That is pretty funny actually. All the Defensive Lineman from that time would be Linebackers as well. The offensive lineman would be undersize tight ends. Bronco Nagurski would be a waterboy. Evolution is BAD.
TomShane
Lambert played at 217 lbs. Pretty crazy. God bless steroids.
Savage69
Lambert would be bigger if he had todays training Methods..Evolution doesn't change that quickly.. I mean Max still has a tail!!
Maxman
Funny thing is Bryan Thomas would still be undersized at DE. Even by yesterdays standards.
PatsFanTX
Funny thing is Bryan Thomas would still be undersized at DE. Even by yesterdays standards. Yep, thank God the Jets were smart enough to only use a 5th round pick on that BUST.
Green DNA
Yep, thank God the Jets were smart enough to only use a 5th round pick on that BUST. Uhh Max, have you taken on a new role as Tx's set up man? Leave another one hanging over the plate and we will have to go the bullpen!

Gee Maxie you must hate Dwight Freeney of the Colts then..He's 3 inches shorter then Thomas and around the same weight..
PatsFanTX
Gee Maxie you must hate Dwight Freeney of the Colts then..He's 3 inches shorter then Thomas and around the same weight.. Yep, but he plays the run like a 260 lb'er. Freeney is the most one-dimensional DE in the NFL. Unfortunately, that one dimension creates much havoc for teams trying to defend him. Just ask Matt Light.

Jetsfan80
Jack Lambert gets a particularly happy B-day from myself, as he shares the same alma mater as my father, a little known school (except for one event in May 1970 that made it famous, that my father was a part of) called Kent State University. The best to you and yours, Jack!
