Blackout
Thats not really fair though, Giambi bat .330, 45 home runs, and 130 runs batted in with roids in his system. It's really no shocker with roids that Giambi's stats were better. well I didn't think we were going to be battling over whether Giambi did things morally right or not. naturally Manny is better sure. Scott Dierking
Oh, and since nobody talks about the Mess, Dierk will always tend to get a Yankee ribbing in or two. He's desperate for attention Dishing the insults out like they were candy, eh Jone? Mommy still not hugging you? How you consider a comment about Al Hrabosky to be a "Yankee ribbing", I don't know, but at least I know you are the sensitive type.

Blackout
Chemically enhanced or not, Giambi's quote unquote peak years were not better than Manny's best years. You can probably argue that Giambi's peak years are better than Manny's career avg, and that is debatable. here's a break down of Giambi's 5 best season and Manny's. Giambi 1999 .315/33/123/ .975 OPS 2000 .333/43/137 1.123 OPS 2001 .342/38/120/ 1.137 OPS 2002 .314/41/122/ 1.03 OPS 2003 .250/41/107 .939 OPS Manny 1998 .294/45/145/ .976 OPS 1999 .333/44/165/ 1.105 OPS 2000 .351/38/122/ 1.154 OPS ( He did this in 117 games btw) 2004 .308/43/130/ 1.009 OPS 2005 .292/45/144/ .982 OPS I don't see where Giambi's "peak" years were better than Manny's. Manny has a lot of other year's comparable to his best years, while Giambi, chemically enhanced takes a major nose dive in his later years. The only area where Giambi beats Manny was in BB and if walks were the most important thing. Giambi's probably a first ballot HOF. you take OPS, why not take OPS+ which adjusts it to the rest of the league?? top 5 OPS+ seasons: manny: 186, 184, 173, 165, 161, giambi: 198, 187, 172, 161, 153 giambi's top 3 > manny's top 3 giambi's top 2 years came back to back also.
