Tucker134
Nice W sparked again by a 9th inning Beltran double/stolen base...another quality start by John Maine, & David Wright is now officially over his slump.

Tucker134
If Delgado is done for the year, I read they might move Daniel Murphy to 1st & see what Sheffield can do full-time in left..

That would be a good idea. Sheffield and Murphy in the line up.
Tucker134
Sheffield still has a quick bat...he's def much more comfortable at the plate. Santana has been, well....Santana so far 2day.
Vudu
Wright is finally being consistent, good sign for the METS with Delgado being done for the year.
neckdemon
2 more unearned runs.....whats with the mets playing such bad defense for this guy. at least they made up for it by finally scoring some runs for the man.

neckdemon
Through 7, this hasn't been one of Johan's finest moments. it's a long season.....he wasn't gonna end the season with an era under 1.
Zeebers
Christmas came early for Johan. The Mets score 9 runs, however the defense continues to play sloppy ball behind Santana.
PS17
The Mets have looked awfully impressive. I am pulling for them to do well and make the Playoffs. This coming from a Yankee fan.
slowmoe57
A sweep tonight would be great before we play the Manny-less Dodgers. Although the Dodgers are no slouch. 7-3 on this road trip would leave me happy.
faba
So far I have to admit my mistake Sheffield still can swing that bat-especially needed now with delgado probably out for the year.

What I don't understand is (unless we make a trade) why Manuel doesn't name Tatis the everyday 1B. Sheff-Murphy-Church can split the corner outfield AB's. neckdemon
so...basees loaded, no outs and they don't score. bases loaded, one out and another dp ans they don't score. they dont deserve to win this game.
Thai Jet
so...basees loaded, no outs and they don't score. bases loaded, one out and another dp ans they don't score. they dont deserve to win this game. Thai Jet
If Delgado is done for the year, I read they might move Daniel Murphy to 1st & see what Sheffield can do full-time in left.. As his outfield play has shown , Murphy IS a first baseman. He should be playing there now.
faba
Can not complain won three out of 4 games- typical Mets loss though- so many chances to get a clutch hit and fail.
neckdemon
As his outfield play has shown , Murphy IS a first baseman. He should be playing there now. well i'm pretty sure he was really a 3rd baseman.....but either way
neckdemon
Can not complain won three out of 4 games- typical Mets loss though- so many chances to get a clutch hit and fail. i can complain....it's one thing to just not have any chances and just have a bad game. but to squander 2 great opportunitie slike that is something to complain about. i don't care if the won the first 3 games. they shouldn't have lost yesterday's game. when you have bases loaded and no outs you have to score AT LEAST 2 runs. neckdemon
So true but pinch hitting Pagan for Murphy really had me scratching my head. yeah that annoyed me. i guess he was going for the left-righty match-up. and i know murphy's been struggling but he hits lefties and he needs to be given a chance to break out of his slump. and its not like angel pagan is so great anyway.
