Thai Jet
Mets let another slip away http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4762287 I never heard his name mentioned by the Mets. Sounds like he would have been an upgrade.
Greenranger
I never heard his name mentioned by the Mets. Sounds like he would have been an upgrade. He said about 2 weeks ago that he wanted to play for the Mets (he's from Staten Island) and the Mets showed some interest, but apparently they dragged their feet and he went to DC. He should be a good mentor for Lannan, Detwiler and Strasburg.
JohnnyHector
The Mets can't even sign the third-tier guys that I don't really want to begin with.
Greenranger
The Mets can't even sign the third-tier guys that I don't really want to begin with. He won 15 games last year, he should be good for a team like this that is trying to build and like with the pudge signing is trying to find some older talent to mentor the high amount of young talent that is coming up. faba
I have no clue why the Mets showed no interest in a local guy that can give you about 10 to 15 wins. and no history of arm problems.

vanDoug
Guys, As a die hard Cubs fan and watching this guy over the years, you don't want him. He'll have the occaisional good outing, but the stinkers don't make up for it.

He'll have the occaisional good outing, but the stinkers don't make up for it. Seriously. Can't believe you guys are crying over missing out on the great Jason Marquis. There's a reason he signed with the Nationals.
