GodWearsAGrayHoodie
Reports: Charles Woodson agrees to contract extension Josina Anderson of FOX31 in Denver reports that cornerback Charles Woodson and the Packers reached agreement on a contract extension. Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has confirmed the report, saying it will be finalized in "a day or so." The reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Woodson was slated to make $7.4 million this season. The move is a bit surprising because he had three years left on his contract, but the Packers decided to give him a bump in salary after Darrelle Revis' deal was finalized. ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that it's a two-year extension.

T0mShane
Whaaaaaat? Why would a team ever try to avoid an embarrassing contract squabble with one of its best players by simply ponying up some cash!? Ridiculous!
Jetsfan80
Whaaaaaat? Why would a team ever try to avoid an embarrassing contract squabble with one of its best players by simply ponying up some cash!? Ridiculous! Only one front office made the right call on this one, and its not the Packers. Charles Woodson turns 35 next month. Talk about a Curtis Martin-like cap-killing extension. T0mShane
Also, when are the Packers cutting Aaron Rodgers? Tomorrow? It's not feasible to pay a corner big bucks and have another expensive player on the roster. Everybody knows that.

Child please
Belicheat prefers to trade down and miss these types of players, instead wrangling studs like Ron Brace.
Jetsfan80
What was the last team to be crippled by cap problems? The Carmen Policy 49ers? The 2005 New York Jets and the Redskins in every year they've been owned by Dan Snyder.
Ghost
Honestly, besides Mayo and Wifork, I don't think I would take anyone on the Pats* defense.
