DRJETS Posted May 10, 2014 Share Posted May 10, 2014 DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey deactivated his Twitter account Friday, not long after posting an ill-timed comment about the team's first-round pick, offensive lineman Ja'Wuan James. Pouncey is not immune to controversy. In February, Pouncey and former teammates Richie Incognito and John Jerry were named in the Ted Wells report as the primary culprits in the harassment of Jonathan Martin and others. He found himself back in a tight spot Friday when he posted on Twitter: "Great pick! I can't wait for our gifts he's getting us lol." The comment didn't sit well with many people on social media after last year's bullying scandal, and even Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp weighed in. " Some folks been dumb a long time!." Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey said in a statement released Friday that the matter had been addressed. "We talked with Mike, and Mike understands that sometimes things can be taken out of context," he said. "What's meant as a light-hearted comment can be taken out of context. We talked with Mike and he was good with that and understands social media is a great tool to reach our fans for the positive. But you have to make good choices with that." Evans backed away and gave him the "**** are you doin?" look. They went to break. Came back and Schiano was sitting between them. He wasn't previously part of the segment.
