Vick and Geno starting is a slap in the face to anyone who loves the game of football. It's a disgrace, and it has nothing to do with the abilities of the third string QB. GS26 Posted November 27, 2014 Share Posted November 27, 2014 Simms has been the best option at QB on this team since August. Give Simms a shot... Getting first reps will show his skills.. Take charge attitude, Fiery competitor and good Pedigree.. It's a no-brainer and he's got a strong arm and size.. How could you NOT give him his opportunity?? Smith is not even a career backup, he'll be out of the NfL in 2 years tops. Vick is funding his retirement. There is nothing to lose starting Simms. Know this-Simms' dad is a borderline HoFer, a beloved Giant and CBS's top color guy. Ryan thinks this coaching job is going to catapult him to either another HC job or TV stardom. Suspect he has now pissed off a Jint icon along with the Jets' fan base. Failing to start Simms in gonna cost him, whether he knows it or not. and he's not doing it "to find out" about geno freaking Smith? W T F. What a goddamn dope.
