TheSage
To be fair, Geno is pretty terrible. you are being overly generous but he seems to be a decent kid, studies hard, but is slow on the reads and late on his throws which are sometimes accurate

Jetsmanjb
A fluke?? Lmaooo. If u can beat Belicheat and Brady twice in a Super Bowl it ain't a fluke. Surprising yes but not a miracle. Defense shut down the mighty patriots twice and Manning went down the field in the final 3 m for the go ahead winning score twice. If u want to see miracles then watch the 30 for 30 story on the U.S. Hockey team. Yes it was a fluke... the Helmet catch by Tyree was arguably the luckiest play in Super Bowl history. And again in 2011 they had a regular season record of 9-7 barely making the playoffs. IF we had just beaten them in the reg season that year if not for that stupid ass 99 yard touchdown by cruz- we win the friggin game and they would not be in the playoffs. There are only THREE teams in the history of the NFL to ever win a Super Bowl with a 9-7 reg season record. And we cannot forget to mention that the New York Giants are the teachers pets of the NFL- they get help in ways only we Jets fans dream of. Jetsmanjb
When Eli wins his 3rd Super Bowl next year will that be another fluke? That depends upon whether or not the referees/goodell will support the cause. With their roster however it's highly unlikely.

I would buy your argument if the team hatched from an egg right before the tyree catch. They had to get there first. Besides you can cherry pick any handful or even one play from most superbowl champions' season and say if that one play went the other way, no ring. Was patriots SB a fluke because pete carroll brain farted the game away? It is like telling a marathoner: "if that other guy hadnt stumbled at the finish line, you would not have won." He ran 26.19999 miles and was in the top 2 right at the end. You have to be good in order to get yourself to the point where one fortuitous circumstance is enough to push it over the edge,

Regardless, from a fan's perspective you can certainly decipher which team's performances are both deserving and undeserving. Most of the time, it is undoubtedly true that the Giants are given help by the commissioner and the referees. The miracle alone on that play was that Eli was not sacked... How Tyree caught that ball there aren't even words for describing that. I'll give them the 2008 Super Bowl sure due to mainly their run game w/ Jacobs. But any 9-7 team that goes on to win a Super Bowl is definitely subject to criticism and in reality I don't really believe is worthy of the title. johnnyjet
Tim Tebow has about the same shot at starting for any team as Geno does starting for the Jets. Fitzpatrick is injured & we don't have a draft yet... Looking to add competition there. I'ma just leave this right here . Cause it sounds to me exactly what most realistic Jets fans know Geno Smith has a strong chance starting this year . Current Comp would be a Injured Fitz who they hope is back by TC already ruled out for OTA and Mini Camps and let's say Mariota who is far from ready any QB drafted after him is even worse at this point . How about when Geno is named the starter after the pre-season? Just kidding; I have no clue who will be starting but I would not be surprised if he does win the job. If that happens, a whole lot of Jet fans around here are gonna need therapy, lol.

If it's rigged and you are one of the enlightened few to realize this, why the Hell do you watch it? do you like WWF also? Yes exactly- they're completely different... I wouldn't even say running is a sport, which is why I suggested that you not bring it into the conversation. Football is not comparable to either marathons or cross country and for good reason. No I don't watch WWF but I am going to assume that you've never played football in your life and that you also spent most of your time running around in a circle while outwardly proclaiming 'hey everyone look at me I'm running in a circle' Sure, I'll give you that to be successful, running takes practice, but's true in most everything. Board games, courtrooms (lawyers), teaching, and also with cum guzzling pornstars all need to practice. But running isn't about being successful; it's about being capable. Just about anybody can finish a race with some willpower. Those same people could just as easily and a lot more happily, have sex with three or four people at one time. But could they hit a curve ball as easily they could hit a curved dick? I think not.
