thadude
Any shot we can trade Melo for Blake Griffin? Reason I think this could actually happen is Melo is the same player but a lot more durable and he would waive his no trade clause to Play in LA with Paul

The only way a Griffin trade works is with a 3rd team with Knicks getting picks & bit players and Griffin going elsewhere. For instance, with Celtics or Miami being the 3rd team. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are both opting out and becoming UFA this summer so the Clippers would have to give out 2 Max deals to retain both. Paul I'd give a max to even at the age of 31 but not Griffin he is an egg. On the contrary, Melo has only 2 years left on his deal and Paul has already said publicly he'd like to play with him. That's what happens when the referees don't suck your ballbag dry for 38 minutes per night. Harden inherited the Michael Jordan forcefield rule last regular season. I'm not even exaggerating Harden would grab players and the players he grabbed would get fouls called against them.
SMC
I'll be landing in Michigan for a pro bono case at about the time the NBA Lottery Show starts, so at least I'll have good karma while the Basketball Gods screw us. Crazy stat I just found out: the Knicks have been in the NBA lottery 13 times since Ewing, and have fallen back 4 times but never jumped up. Matt39
All right. Who at 8? They obviously need a PG but they fall off after Ball and Fultz.

SMC
LOL. Just like the Knicks. Five times fall in the draft. Think about this, TWICE a team had moved up from 9 to grab top pick in lottery but Knicks have never jumped. Smith and French Kid are good choices at

The chance to sell high on Porzingis was a rare opportunity. There was such a huge gap between his perceived value and his real value. Now the gap has shrunk and he's disgruntled and telling everybody he won't resign. Blowing the best shot to ******* do it right for a change since 2010 at least is the dumbest yet of all Phil's derps.

Porzingis doesn't suck. He's 20 and still in Melo's shadow. Does his skill set fit today's game which is all about wings and PG's? Not necessarily but it wasn't too long ago big men like Dirk and Duncan were winning NBA championships.

He's under contract three more years and barring a radically different CBA by then we will be able to offer $30 million more than any other NBA team. By that time, Phil, Melo etc will be gone and KP will start peaking along with Hernangomez along with hopefully a good young PG Phil drafts at 8 this summer

People assuming he's the franchise are out of their minds. No different than the way the organization/fanbase/local media has enabled Melo, we're now doing it with KP- who's off doing god knows what this offseason. The Knicks win 30 games every year- maybe it's time to realize the guys who are taking all of the shots are the reason why they suck? He's going to end up being the 2nd best player out of the 2015 draft. Is he hyped up and overrated because of NY? Sure but that doesn't negate the fact that he is a future 20 and 10 guy. That said the nba is so different now than the 90's and early 2000's. Wings and PG's are so dominant now because no one is allowed to play zone defense or defense in general. Big men like KP aren't as important as they were before but that doesn't mean a good center still doesn't help especially one who can shoot like KP
