If the jets lose this Sunday Bowles should be fired. Playoffs will be DEFINATELY out of the question and why torture the guy just to keep him around a few more weeks. He will only try to rah rah the team into winning meaningless games caring about only his future, not the jets

And what makes you think he will these games?

If you don’t think he can win games, why would you not keep him on and lose all the games

Lol you’re a little slow I see. Number 1, obviously he may decide to continue to play McCown over our young backups. That is McCown putting the jets in a better chance to win, not Bowles. Let the young kids and backups play.  I would also have a lot more confidence in a coach who knew winning now isn’t a priority, than one who is going to make his team play every meaningless game left like it’s the Super Bowl. I know you are rooting for the jets to win, and then probably want them to trade more picks to move up where they could have been.

It’s important we continue to let McCown play. He will earn himself a MUCH better contract next yr if he plays as well as he is now. He won’t get what he deserves if he rides the bench. Plus he can help us win maybe 2 more games we other wise would lose. So that would protect him some more, perhaps preventing the jets from drafting a top qb they would start next yr. So the rest of this season is about the future of Josh McCown and Todd Bowles . Nothing else matters.. ????

Despite a 4-7 record, Jets coach Todd Bowles is sticking with Josh McCown: "Josh is playing well. He's our quarterback." McCown has taken every snap this season.

Today.

JMO and maybe I’ll be wrong. He isn’t going to play the what if game with the media. He did it last yr and all TC.

When they are officially eliminated from the playoffs, like NYG were over the weekend, this may change.

Carson wentz after a hot start had a rough time last year in his rookie year.  Look at him now.

Goff had a bad time as a rookie look at him now.

Trubisky is having a hard time as a rookie, we will see if he improves next year.

Kizer has mostly been terrible this year but got a bit better the last game or so.

Watson got his chance and was unreal

Peterman had his shot and was god awful

In just about every single case the teams could have played a vet jag who would be a better player in year one and since the young guys had no playing time the vet jag might be better in year two as well.

You do not develop QBs by sitting them on the bench, you do not know what you have unless a guy gets a legit shot with lots of playing time.

The Jets act like they are team solid in all areas that just need a game manager.
