WowOhWow
How does the waiver process work? Since we're second in line do we submit our list of players and get them all? Or do we request one player and if no one ahead of us wants him we get him? Not sure how it works? And...do they have to then be put on our active roster? Jetstream
looks like Yes to your question..as long as team 1 didn't claim them https://dknation.draftkings.com/nfl/2021/8/30/22648201/nfl-waiver-wire-rules-2021-which-team-has-top-priority-claims-order
nycdan
For the first three weeks of the season, any team can put a claim in on any waived player (vets can't be waived, they are released). We are #2 in line behind JAX and that doesn't change if we pick anyone up so we have 2nd shot at any player who hits the wire. After week 3, they reset the order based on W/L records.
Lith
Works like the draft. We have the 2nd pick in each round. We submit our list of players. We know we will get either our top or 2nd choice, but after our first selection, every other team has an opportunity to claim a player before it comes around to us again. Many teams will not select a player or could have their players selected, so it could come back to us quickly. Edit -- shows what I know. just saw this:

Edit -- shows what I know. just saw this: It also illustrates why #2 waiver priority is a very big deal. This will continue to go on until after the third week of the season. We will be awarded every single player on whom we place a claim that the Jaguars pass on. The third team has to wait until we have eaten, and so on. This is the richest time for waiver claims. Joe D will not be getting any sleep until the practice squad is filled. Our #2 waiver priority means getting to 53 is only the beginning of a tumultuous couple of weeks for the back end of the Jet roster. Teams are also trading now, perhaps we can pick up a big salary and a starter. Here's hoping. EDIT: Here is a good link on the rules. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-roster-cuts-2021-deadline-rules/t4agmpiuyveo11wc540pj2knw 1
