That was a complete blowout and only 16 points because GB went it the ULTRA promote soft zone. McCarthy needs to be like an assistant HC/passing game coordinator type of guy He has had three straight 12-5 years His offenses are amongst the best every year In the 7 year span where Mike Tomlin has 0 playoff wins? McCarthy has 5.
jeremy2020
They should be talking about getting rid of Omar Khan, not Tomlin
TuscanyTile2
I think I read that Tomlin has never coached on the final year of his contract (he's always extended before that). Hopefully he holds that against them and leaves after next year, when there's a good chance we'll be in the HC (and likely GM) market. Adoni Beast
Looks like Tomlin is returning to the Steelers next year... PITTSBURGH -- Mike Tomlin told Pittsburgh Steelers players and coaches Tuesday that he plans to coach the team in 2024, a day after he walked out of a news conference when asked about his contract, sources told ESPN. Tomlin, who has a year left on his contract, has given no indications of wanting to step away in recent weeks, a source close to the situation told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, and Tomlin "just wants to coach football." The source added that contract extension talks could intensify this offseason.

But actually, this is kinda important. With every new HC, comes a whole new offense/defense for the players to learn/master. Seems like we've been swapping out HC's every few years. What? Pete Carroll lasted 2. Mangini lasted 2. Rex did the best with 6. Then Bowles lasted 2, Gase lasted 2. And Saleh (so far) lasted 2. Love him or hate him, from the players perspective it's nice having the same O/D going into yr 3.
rangerous
Maybe it is time for the Steelers to move on from tomlin. The king of need to be mired at four wins for a season or two and reap the rewards of better draft picks. As for tomlin, hard to win without a decent qb. The Steelers are another team who threw their rookie in too early.
