Believing morals are important and relying on others to operate by your own version of them are two different things. And while I didn’t use the word “children,” the latter is indeed naive. But since you seem to have a strong reaction to that word, how about we call it “idealistic,” instead?

@jgb

It may be idealistic to some degree, based on your interpretation, but the vast majority of people in the world, still acknowledge & live by these ideals - as most "reasonable people" would.

Do you leave your house unlocked? After all, the vast majority of people aren’t thieves.

I provided the actual press conference from which those articles derived!

Not correct sir.

Some of these articles are written by journalists that actually talked to the coaching staff, such as Connor Hughes.

I understand if you're too lazy to look for them.

I'll make it easy for you buddy,

Here's a video you can watch.

Connor Hughes shares what's next after Haason Reddick asks for trade from the Jets (sny.tv)

Now if you want to say that Connor Hughes is a liar, or isn't reputable, ummmm sure, o.k.

Okay, pal. If you’re the judge, it’s a compliment to be found guilty.

I'm not the judge, society & common human decency is.

What you keep calling naivety, are core values that guide the moral compass, of most reasonable people in the world.

Living in Europe has made you weird.

Yeah it’s true. All the coolness I developed living in Southeast Asia has been sapped out of me by the stagnating influence of Western European socialism.

I looked for them, all morning, couldn’t find them. Lend a fella a hand and pull one (1) of them up for me, willya?

Hey, put your ideals into practice. Leave your keys on your car seat and let your money hang out of your pockets when you walk around town.

There are many words for people who take the goodwill of others for granted: mark, sucker, sap, target, victim… and yes, naive.

One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
Just as a link to quotes of making Adams a Jet for life and it not happening after Adams decides he want to be paid as a top sack artist as opposed to a S has nothing to do with lying about coming to camp.

It’s exactly on point. We all take steps to protect our own property against the ne’er do wells out there but in this case since it’s not your money, plenty of you are all “you should always be able to trust people.” The wallet is always smarter than the mouth. It’s an oldie but a goodie but actions speak louder than words.
