Basic psychology, folks. Real basic. Just like when a person will specifically tell you "I am not a racist, I am not a crook, I am not gay, I am not from Kansas", guess what, brace yourself, 99% of the time they are the exact thing they're telling you they are not. The only suggestion I can make here is to familiarize yourself with the enneagram system, Carl Jung and Terravadan Buddhist phsychology so that you can become more familiar with the human animal.
