Jets | B. Smith could have package of plays at quarterback

Mon, 4 Sep 2006 09:36:55 -0700

Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets WR Brad Smith could be used as a quarterback in certain plays during the course of a game to relieve starter QB Chad Pennington. Smith's versatility is considered to be an asset, as he can use both his arm and legs to beat opponents.

Thes are decisions made out of neccessity. The Jets have no feature RB and they don't know what to expect from Chad pennington.

Chad Pennington is the starting QB.he missed a full week of practice,1 preseason game and was given the final game off even after not putting up a single point in the previous game when he played the entire 1st half.

to a certain extent all of this information is being released to force Tenn to prepare for everything this coming week. there are only so many hours a team will practice during the week so the more they have to prepare for the less they are prepared. it is highly doubtful the jets will use smith at QB but why not make the titans prepare for it. the same for the rugby punt, and all three running backs.
