124 Posted March 19, 2007 Share Posted March 19, 2007 Lions add to receiving corps, sign McDonald Associated Press ESPN.com ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions signed Shaun McDonald to a two-year deal Monday, reuniting the free agent wide receiver with former Rams coach and current Detroit offensive coordinator Mike Martz. In four seasons with St. Louis, McDonald had 106 receptions for 1,215 yards and four touchdowns. He agreed to terms with Detroit last week, and the signing was announced Monday. McDonald joins a group of Detroit receivers that includes Roy Williams and Mike Furrey. He made just 13 catches for 136 yards and a score last year after two productive seasons. He had 46 receptions for 523 yards in 2004 and three of his 37 catches in 2003 were for TDs. McDonald was a standout receiver for Arizona State, finishing his college career second on the school's career list with 2,867 receiving yards.
