WHY are we calling for Manginis head?!?

NY JETS 29

Yeah, were 1-6 which most of us didnt think would be the situation this year, but were only in year two under Mangini. He has yet to get the right personel for his 3-4 scheme and truth be told his defensive coordiantor, Sutton was on this team when Mangini came over and it pretty much looks like Sutton will be gone after the season. Shotty has shown brilliance at times along with stupidity, but I think he's good and will do great things with this offense once Kellen becomes the starter. Mangini doesnt make tackles, block, throw the ball and sit back in coverage. Give him a break! The media and fans put the "genious" tag on him, he didnt ask for it. Yes, trading Kendall wasnt so hott and sticking with Chad for so long isnt too popular, but him and the words fired do NOT belong in the same sentence. If this was year 3 or 4 and we were sitting at 1-6 then maybe we would have a discussion, but as of now this team is slumping with inconsistentence. Offense showed strides in Cincy but not the defense, offense looked flat vs. philly, but the D played solid. Were just not hitting on all pages now, the coaching staff does deserve heat, but in no shape or form should he loose his job or even be on the hot seat right now. Yeah, 1-6 sucks, nobody likes it, but it is what it is right now, who knows we may be 7-9,8-8 and praising this guy for the job he did in the second half.

He shouldn't be fired yet but if it's about building a contender in the future, the Jets are farther away now then they were last season.

And the defense is worse because Mangini didn't bring in the right players. The OL is worse cause Mangini and Tanni didn't bring in the right players. And starting Chad each and every week means eventually you go into Season 3 either with Chad P as the starting QB or a rookie starting QB in KC. Either way next season becomes a "have to win now" or "Hope KC is good."

If it takes 5 years to build a winner, you will probably never win. Not in todays NFL.

It is what it is. Remember Jim Mora Jr took a bad Falcon's team to the NFC Championship game. People were calling him great. People were preaching the Falcon's were up and coming. They never made the playoffs since. Mora was gone after season 3. But at least they finished 8-8 and 7-9 in years two and three. They never looked this bad.

The Jets are one of the worst teams in the NFL. One year wonder coaches aren't a new thing. Right now Mangini is close to being a one year wonder if he doesn't wake up.

Why not?

He has screwed up more than Pennington this season...

Just give it up.. Your all over the f'n place HOMER.. First you love Mangini. Now he should be fired.

Why don't you just say I KNOW MANGINI WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR, and maybe then it will happen.. ( we all know when you predict something, the opposite happens.
