aec4
Another blunder by florio. How is the gap from 5 to 6 40 points, and from 6 to 7 65 points? So the gaps go: 1-2: 100 2-3: 75 3-4: 75 4-5: 75 5-6: 40 6-7: 65 OK, that makes sense.

Iceman88
He didn't make this chart, he said its being passed around by NFL teams.
Sperm Edwards
It's a dumb chart. They clearly started at the top & squeezed values in here & there to end up at 1 at the end. Whoever made this, by using this method, boxed himself into a fixed amount that the picks can possibly go down. Further, how can you possibly determine how much the picks "drop" (how much compensation there should be to trade down) before you've even assigned value to the picks you'd be trading to move up in the first place? Totally backwards. Start at 1 (or 10 or whatever) for the 250th pick and work your way up. Only anal-retentive dumbasses feel there is a need for the top pick to end up as exactly 1000 or 3000. The important thing is assigning appropriate value, not coming up with an "even" top number. Then once you've determined the point value of those lower picks, you can make the higher picks value based on something instead of picking it out of the air, adjusting & re-adjusting it later on. This way if you want to determine the value of pick #15 and you know the value of pick #20, #30, #50, and everything below it, you can determine what the value of #15 should be based on what it "should" take to move up to that position. You can do that since you know the value of all picks below it that way.
