anskyruben
You're a disgrace. 99% of this team should be pushed off a cliff. I'm ashamed to be a fan.

Barton
Who knows, maybe a season like this is what is necessary for them to take the next step. A wake up call for everyone. Big moves in the offseason this year.

Matt39
I guess Joe Torre wasn't so bad afterall I still firmly believe it was time to move on from Torre. Unfortunately, the team remained virtually the same. Missing the playoffs was bound to happen, and it would have been probably better off if this had happened back in 2005. At least Giambi is gone next season and hopefully we can land CC.

Plus with all the injuries and underperformers, Girardi didnt have a chance this year. This offseason is make or break for Cashman. There's no reason why the 2009 Yankees shouldnt be the best team we've had since 2003.

DaBrick Wall
Does ARod top the list? No. He and Giambi sitting in the 4-5 and not performing close to their regular numbers w/RISP and in close and late situations is up there though. The whole team ****ting the bed with RISP is up there. Injuries are up there, Hughes/Kennedy, Jeter, Cano, Pettitte, etc. There's a long list of reasons... Arsis
Does ARod top the list? no, he doesn't. Hughes and Kennedy top the list. Followed by injuries, followed by a very ****ed up line-up that has an injured damon batting lead-up and a non roided up Giambi batting 5th. Gainzo
Its pretty sad when a decimated Sox lineup beats a decent Yankees lineup at the Stadium for the 2nd night in a row.
Thai Jet
Does ARod top the list? He's hitting .208 with 2 outs and men in scoring position. He'd get my vote.
shawn306
Nobody here better use the injury excuse. Girardi still has A-Rod, Jeter, Cano, Giambi, Damon, Abreau, Pettitte, Mussina, Rivera, Joba for about 80% of the season, and Nady. They got about as much out of Ponson as you can get. The bullpen which alot of people have blasted Torre for overusing did very well this year. There was more than enough talent here to complete. The problem is the same as it has been for the past couple of years. One guys goes into a funk it effects the ENTIRE team. Torre was able to work his way around, Girardi hasn't. This team started off the year at least trying to play a little small ball but now they have gone back to trying to bash everything and that falls on the manager. Where is all this "fire and passion" that Girardi was supposed to bring in ? Weren't they Yanks going to play alot more aggressive baseball now that Torre's laid back approach was given the heave ho. Girardi learned this year that you can't teach old dogs new tricks. Well now it is going to be up him and Cashman to get rid of the old dogs and bring in some guys who will check their ego in at the door and go out and play the game the way it should be. (You hear that Abreu).
Zeebers
Torre's calming influence would is probably what this team needs. Its not to say that their position would be any better, but Girardi looks like he's about to pop a vein every time the other team takes a lead. Then again, The Dodger aren't doing any better. Losing 6 in a row and 2 to the Nats is inexcusable.
JonEJet
I wish Abreu wasn't our best player How do you get rid of the guy...I don't think you can Damon too....next year he can't be our CF We really need a solid CF with speed, a new catcher, and a quality starter We are stuck with Jeter ARod Posada (1st base) Matsui Cano Nady Everyone else is expendable Pitchers Wang Joba Moose Andy Hughes CC ( I hope ) can't get rid of Andy or Moose based on this season....getting Wang back will be big, and hopefullly Joba develops We're not far off here, but i think the offense needs a shakeup
Matt39
We have a log jam in the outfield. Nady will obviously be back. Between Matsui, Damon and Abreu(all below average defensively) the Yanks really need to figure out what to do there. Also, who catches next season? Will Posada be healthy enough? We need to stop chasing the huge name(unless they are proven pitchers) and find guys that will fit the mold- consisten enough at the plate(ie no more Giambis) and dont melt like a candle under pressure. Barton
Yankees should not f##k around this offseason. Go after Sabathia and Ben Sheets. Sign both of them. In the past the Yankees have signed the 1 big guy, and let the other guy go (signed Moose, let Manny go to sawx) etc etc. It hasnt been the best way to improve the team, bottom line. If we can get 2 legit front line starters, JUST DO IT. No more counting on 21 year olds to lead a rotation. Yankees should build an opening day rotation for 2009 that has Hughes and Kennedy pitching in the minors from the get-go. Something like this: Sabathia-Sheets-Wang-Joba-Moose/Pettitte NO MORE F###ING AROUND.

Why on earth do you keep bashing Damon, just curious. He leads all leadoff men in OBP, he's having a helluva year and he's 1 of the few guys on this team who isnt scared to hit w/RISP. Kidhuman
Damon has been playing well. He will play CF, Nady LF and Abreu RF. We need 1B/C - depends on Posada We need Cano to hit for the whole freakin year 2 pitchers and an arm in the pen(Hughes maybe?)
