In what is becoming a time honored tradition, this POTW is sure to cause more debate as to the validity of the award, but I'm confident in making it my selection for the week.

There are a number of positions in sports I simply would never want: Goalie for the Detroit Red Wings, QB of the NY Jets and Head Coach of the NY Jets. As with similar positions and cities, they come with an instant bullseye on your head and anything short of above-satisfactory performance comes with a cost.

Many love him, many hate him, but after Mangini, Edwards and a host of other buffoons since Parcells, he's gotten us closer than ever before. Maybe he needs to be managed a little better, maybe someone needs to step in, dump Tanny and pick up a stronger-willed GM. I don't know....but I do know we could do a lot worse.

Congratulations to gangreenman, this week's POTW winner.

I just want to get this off my chest, because this game sealed it for me.

If the Jets fire Rex Ryan, I will stop caring about this team. Without Revis, Holmes, Pouha, Ellis, and literally down to a 3rd string UDFA, a fullback, and a QB at the running back position, and we were still not only competed, but should have won that game.

Under Mangini or Edwards or anyone else, this game is a laugher. Now Im brutally pissed that Sparano sat on the ball when we could have ended the game, that the ref invented a pi call on a play he couldn't see... And that we lost a game we should have won.

Tom Brady managed a grand total of 20 points on four scoring drives. The Jets offense scored 26 points.

Give him a good QB, and that man is going to win a Super Bowl. I hope our owner gives him that chance.
