Darron Lee JN

Darron Lee did not practice on Friday, he is officially out for the Ravens game on Sunday. Here is the injury update that Todd Bowles gave after practice on Friday.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins did not practice, he will be out Sunday. Darron Lee with the ankle, did not practice, he’ll be out. Brent Qvale did not practice, he will be out. Braedon Bowman did not practice, he will be out. Muhammad Wilkerson did not practice, he’s questionable with the ankle. Ryan Clady and Nick Mangold were questionable and they had limited practice.

On whether Clady and Mangold are more probable than questionable…

Bowles indicated that he was hopeful that Clady and Mangold would play. He said they both did some things during practice and they have another day to heal before the game. Having both players on the field will be crucial with Geno Smith making his first start of the season. Center and left tackle are crucial to the success of a young quarterback.

Muhammad Wilkerson was sore so he didn’t practice. Bowles did say there was a chance that he could miss the Ravens game.

Brent Qvale had a stinger in his neck and the Jets are running additional tests.

Here is the Jets full injury report.

I must have missed these guys getting injured last game. I didn't see them go out injured.

Did they get hurt in the game last week, get hurt at practice, getting out of their car, going to the bathroom at night in the dark or just don't want to play?

Fitz out, Geno in, does that have anything to do with it. Maybe Nick wants to sit with his buddy on the bench. Maybe my conspiracy theory is wrong.

Lee was helped off the field last week. ASJ hurt his ankle two weeks ago in his first game. Bowman has been out a few weeks. Quake was helped off the field this last week. Clady and Mangold are just always bumped and bruised. I don't think this is a QB conspiracy.

Darron Lee shaping up to be the bust we all thought he may be. ASJ has barely played and he's out . To be honest does it matter? If we Win it's because they will be without Joe Flacco. Only the Pats can win with a 3rd stringer QB.

I think it may be a tad early to call the guy who has been the leading tackler on the team as a rookie a bust because he dinged up his ankle.  Maybe a justification for a draft pick you didn't like?

I like Lee so far.

I am not at all a "may as well tank the season" kind of guy. I think that line of thinking is silly, and I think it is reserved for fans. I don't think the team or management feels that way (suck for Luck aside, perhaps).

That said, we are all but eliminated. They should of course play to win, but I think the rest of the year is sort of an extended preseason for next year. Get these guys healthy, see what you've got from the young guys, etc.
