Canadian-based developer Triple Five filed in court yesterday to have the Jets & Giants joint lawsuit against them dropped. The lawsuit is based on the result of the developer changing the plans of the proposed mall to take up more space than originally planned without getting the teams’ consent of which both teams argue that they have the right to approve of any changes to the design based on an agreement in 2006 and the current changes they believe would make game day traffic even worse than what it would be currently.

Governor Christie  is currently not happy about the lawsuit.

Bergen County has blue laws. You can't operate malls on Sunday. Example would be the Paramus malls. Why is this even an issue?

Yea but can they not make the building blue??

This mega mess is stupid and I don't blame the Jets and that other team for filing suit. New Jersey is the mall capital of the world - like we really need another one.

One has to wonder why the jets and giants object soo much. Will people use the free parking at the mall on game days? Will they use the resturants there instead of the ones in the stadium? Could this really be a loss of revenue issue rather than a traffic issue? After the job Dolan did to the jets on the manhattan stadium you would think that maybe they would be a bit easier on other developers.
