At this point they should just go with Geno or Simms.  Hopefully Idzik won't start giving away draft picks for some schlub veteran QB.  In all likelihood, the Jets will be 0-whatever by the bye, but at least it will bring about a couple of overwhelming positives.  It will get rid of Rex and it should give the Jets the #1 pick and they can take Bridgewater or Clowney or trade down for a boatload of picks.  It will be a win-win for the franchise.  If by some miracle, Geno or Simms is starting to look like a quality NFL QB by the end of the season, then so much the better.  They can either take Clowney or trade down and really rebuild this team.

What coaches out their that are available are better at coaching then Rex? We have a really good coaching staff and I don't want that to change. We got an excellent play caller at offense with Marty and an excellent play caller at defense in Rex.

They could hire a friggin chimpanzee and he'd be a better HC than Rex Ryan.  He is truly clueless and in over his head as a HC.  The HC is supposed to be a heck of a lot more than a defensive play caller.  Get real.

Seriously, we both know that if Sanchize wasn't such a colossal bust we both know that you would not be saying Rex is a bad hc. He got us to two freaking afc championship games, with freaking Mark Sanchez as qb. He's a damn good coach and many of you guys seem to have forgotten how sh*tty the franchise has been throughout the years. Rex Ryan is the best thing that happened to the Jets in the long time. Getting rid of him would be a huge mistake.

I most definitely would be saying that.  He's a very good DC and that's it.  He sucks balls as a HC.  It would not be a mistake.

No way you would be saying that cause if Mark Sanchez wasn't such a bust, we'd probably have won a superbowl.

Whatever.  It's obvious you have a fan boy crush on Rex and are blind to the the reality of the Jets' situation and what a good HC is.  If you've been a Jets fan for long, the latter is understandable, but Rex isn't one.  The team overachieved his 1st two seasons because of the bump that teams who had repressive disciplinarian coaches and replace them with a players' coach, and the veteran leadership they had.

That and Rex also being a defensive mastermind had something to do with it. Plus, where the hell do you think we're going to find this amazing head coach that is going to be both an offensive and defensive mastermind. A bunch of hall of fame coaches were defensive minded. Hell, even Bellicheck was defensive minded early on in his career.

That's true. It will take another season to get this cap mess off the books but once that's done, yeah, I'd like to still have Rex and Marty calling the shots.

Me to, but whoever our qb is needs to put a good season together if Rex is going to stay a head coach. After his meltdown, things aren't looking to good for Rex.
