Demarco Murray left practice early today

Murray is not the problem, there offensive line has been absolutely abysmal. He was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage something like half of his attempts, which is going to be hard to fix against our defensive unit.  I think the biggest loss is going to be Kiko and Thorton? missing this week, that's going to be a huge advantage to our running game.

Yea Id rather Murray play. He is one of those backs thats needs touches to get in a rhythm,we can handle that. Sproles and Matthews are quicker backs that are easier to plug and play. Jets could have a tough time with their speed outside.

Agreed.  He's a down hill runner that needs a little head speed and a lot of touches.  Not this stretch, read option with the QB giving the ball to the RB stuff they run.  Murray needs to have head start and take the ball from the QB to be effective.  He cant bounce outside.  He needs to run between the tackles.  Both Matthews and Sproles can hit the edge and go.

Looks like a bit of a weakness, albeit a small one of the defense. Colts broke a few, but I chalk that up to the fact that our offense sputtered around 14-7 and the defense was shot.

Looking at the snap counts from last game, I think a HUGE (pun intended) part of that was that Snacks was sidelined for most of the game.  He barely saw the field.  Like, 1/3 of the D snaps.  When he's in, nobody is running the ball on the Jets with much success.

When you play Andrew Luck type QBs, you concede the run to a degree. It was obvious that's what we were doing. Shut down the passing game, and bend but don't break against the run.

They actually fit Chips system better than Murray.  This could be a blessing in disguise for the Eagles.  Not that the Jets should be worried but Murray is the wrong fit for that system.

A sh*tty offensive line is also the wrong fit for that system.

'Sons of anarchy gonna EAT boy!
