At least a power ranking like the college football top 25 actually has some consequences, the NFL ones simply state the obvious. Pats have been in the top 3 for 15 straight years. All offseason the Jets were an after thought in the national media when it came to discussions about top teams. Now after they win in Kansas City they will be moving up even further.
