JetNation
By Glenn Naugthon As if the Jets’ 3-7 start wasn’t frustrating enough for Jets fans who recently learned that head coach Todd Bowles has been taking a Rex Ryan-like approach with players who routinely skip team meetings and practices, there was yet another gem out of Florham Park today. Pepper Johnson, the team’s defensive line coach, was set to meet with beat reporters today for what most reasonably expected to be a question and answer session about his talented, yet under-performing linemen. So much for that. As noted by several reporters, including Kimberly Martin of Newsday, Johnson followed quarterbacks coach Kevin Patullo by saying he would only take questions about himself. Pepper Johnson basically said: I'm only taking questions about Pepper Johnson, not the D-line. #jets — Kimberley A. Martin (@KMart_LI) November 15, 2016 For a team that’s struggling to put a competitive product on the field despite a bloated payroll coming off of a 10-win season, you might expect the franchise to be more fan friendly at the moment. If you did expect it, apparently you were wrong. Click here to read the full story...
Ken Schroy
This really does have at the very least, the perception of a sinking ship.

AFJF
Apparently Pepper didn't even know what he wanted to talk about. Walked in and told reporters he wouldn't field any questions "about Pepper Johnson", so another reporter said "but you'll answer questions about your guys", to which he replied, "no, the other way around"

shawn306
Probably because he didn't want to say what was in his heart. Here is what I think he wanted to say. "I have been in this game for thirty years and I have NEVER seen a group of D-Lineman as gutless as this group right here" You guys remember back in 1988 when Harry Carson flipped a table in the locker room at halftime when we were losing to the Redskins ? Harry not only would have flipped the table but flipped each one of these mother f'ers up against the wall as wall as well. Best D-line my @ss.....Hell Pleasant, Ernie Logan an Rick Lyle who combined probably don't have half the talent that Mo has played better than any of them have. Revis right now that overpaid mother F'er couldn't hold Elvis Patterson or Otis Smiths' jock strap the way he is playing right now. You see, you have to play this game with passion. Something that these jagoffs seem to have forgotten. Friggin disgrace....all of them.

jeremy2020
Pepper did pretty good in his previous two stints. I'm surprised he hasn't been able to get more out of the d-line for the Jets.
