This is what Rotoworld actually said;

ESPN New York expects WR ArDarius Stewart to be a Week 1 inactive.

This would be surprising with Stewart coming off a strong preseason. The Jets added middling veterans Jermaine Kearse and Jeremy Kerley behind Robby Anderson, but there's a top-four role for Stewart with Jalin Marshall suspended. It's possible Stewart's lack of special teams value will make him a healthy scratch.

Just because Dick Cimini thinks so, doesn't necessarily mean it will happen.

This just reiterates my point;

Jets WR Jeremy Kerley is a healthy scratch for Week 1.

Kerley was expected to immediately take over the Jets' slot role, but isn't yet up to speed after signing this week. ArDarius Stewart is active and should see snaps in three-wide sets. The rest of the Jets inactives are QB Bryce Petty, TE Jordan Leggett, OG Dakota Dozier, TE Neal Sterling, S Rontez Miles, and DB Derrick Jones.

I just went to check Cimini's twitter feed but forgot he blocked @JetNation. Kind of ironic he wrote about the WRs and got it wrong. I thought he would write about the QBs. ecause being petty is right up his alley.
