faba
I do not trust these home field advantages that the players use- souped up running times Still think he will be a good player though

SouthernJet
If the Jets are showing interest in Hawk it leads me to beleive they are entertaing trade down scenarios,, Hawk is a reach at #4 and wont be there at 22 or 29 with Bronco Abe trade. Stonehands
The Jets could have been at Ohio State to see the other players work out.

Barton
Those numbers are complete bull. They are probably .2 off what his real time is, when he ran I think a 4.68 at the combines....somewhere under 4.7 but higher than 4.
R44
EB, I know we disagree here -- you think Hawk is slow.....But game and 40 time evidence just refutes this. I agree all the 40 times are weird at OSU.....I've stated this for a long time.....But his official 40 time at the Combine was 4.59 -- outstanding for his weight (over 250).... Don't get too caught up with 40 times.....I was watching Stanford all season, for example, and Combine star J. Alston got a ton of praise for running a 4.44 40 at Indy for a linebacker. But you want to know the truth? Alston's a 215-220 pound safety project, who spent most of his career playing standup defensive end in college, just blitzing the QB... He has almost zero refined linebacking skills (coverage; run stopping), based on the way he was used in college. He's just fast and aggressive. Good prospect, but let's not go to overboard on 40's, either way.
The Troll
Let someone else take the Boz. I wouldn't touch him with PeterNorth's ten foot pole.
PeterNorth09
If you're going to take a defensive player in the draft make it either Mario Williams #4 or trade down and get Haloti Ngata. If this trade with Denver happens Broderick Bunkley or Gabe Watson at #22.
