The problem with that Hail Mary wasn’t the call it was the execution.  Receivers are supposed to fight fir that ball.  Not one Jet receiver put themselves within 5 yards of a ball that was in the air for ages.  Blame the HC all you want but the only way that goes for a TD the other way is that our receivers never tried to get their hands on the ball.

Totally agree.

There is nothing wrong with calling a hail Mary at the end of the half.

The fact that no one was near the ball is unsettling

Ultimately it doesn't make any difference at all.  This is a lost season and we're playing out the string.  It's just one more incredibly embarrassing play to add to the lore of this awful franchise.  It's amazing how we come up with spectacular new ones in prime time games (or in this case we were the only team playing and it was the inaugural Black Friday game) every year!
