He's a creative offensive play caller but that's where it ends for me. They've lost to basically every competent team they've faced the past two years and the offense has looked mediocre at best while doing so.

Brissett- went to backup up a rookie in NE and winds up starting.

Taylor- went to backup up a 40 yr old who just missed the year with an Achilles.

Minshew- went to start in Vegas

Darnold- went to back up a rookie in Minnesota

Marriotta- back up a rookie in Washington

Lock- Daniel Jones sucks. its just a matter of time before he starts

Flacco- back up a 2nd yr players who missed the whole year last year in Indy

same as last year. these guys went to places they could start. when Tua went all year without getting hurt none of these guys were ever going to play if they went there.

with Miami you would have to hope for Tua to get hurt to play, which is horrible and im sure guys dont want to do that. but where they went they all went to places where they had a good chance to start without injury.

kind of makes you wonder why the jets settled on tyrod.  maybe they should have been looking ahead to the post rodgers years and brought in someone younger and with more talent.  of course then they'd have to pay the guy to sit.  about the only thing mac did right was bring in fitzy to back up geno in 2015.

kind of easy to be creative when you have guys like waddle and tyreek that scare the other team's defenses.  and tua was pretty good at finding either of those guys.

I think Tua is an extremely limited QB(doesn't scramble for obvious reasons, can't throw the deep out) and McDaniel does his best at hiding his weaknesses and playing to his strengths. He's a pretty good offensive mind. Not a HC though.

McDaniels has two great receivers but he was very innovative in how he used them not only to put points on the board but also stretch the field.  The Denver game last year where they put up 70 on a defense we put up 9 against is a good example
