Bugg
No one has a lock on a job. Big Ben is going nowhere. Nugent needs to step up though. Plus, they had another kicker in camp last year, too. This isn't a big deal at all.
124
They brought in Xavier Betita last year to give Nugent a little competition, this is the same thing.
SeniorFlaJet
Lets not look to deeply into this. Its not even competition. For what they are paying Nugent and Graham this guy would have to kick 60 yd FG and punt into the upper deck. Its because during training camp if one of those guys wakes up with a tummy ache you at least have another guy to take his place during thedrills. This guy can do P and K. And if disaster strikes you have at least a guy on board who can cover until a vet is signed. Basically the old camp fodder. He gets a couple of Gs and somethihg to tell his grandchildren. Stonehands
Nugent and Graham have jobs for life and we should never bring in another kicker, ever!!!! Is that good enough, JetFan13?
Green Jets & Ham
have reached an agreement with undrafted rookie free agent P/PK D.J. Fitzpatrick(Notre Dame). The operative word is "versalility ... P/PK Some teams like to stash a guy who can do both {P/PK} on their practice squad, this way if they lose either/or to an injury they are not in the soup, scrambling to sign a street free agent Doesn't mean they'll keep Fitzpatrick on the PS, he'll have to show some skills, but if he does its not a bad idea for insurance

SouthernJet
I thought it was a dumb question. I ask plenty of them myself. based on our current punter and kicker it was a great question,,it seemed liek a odd pick,, but we need someone in camp other than one guy for special teams priactice, plus as pointed out, you could always put this guy on Practice squad if he is a valid 2 way, punt and kick,,insurance ...
