Thor99
That's entirely too much reading for this board. Thanks, though.
raffyD
That was a great read Warfish, solid analysis. And the Doug Williams flashback was worth the length of the read. Did he just drop out of football after he won the Super Bowl?

4HCrew
Nice post fish... it is interesting with the Skins coaching staff now Gibbs is basically overseeing everything and not doing much play calling himself. He has just about delegated everything
GreenBeans
The Fish speaks the truth. I like Ramsey and think he will be a good, solid QB for the Jets when/if he wins the job this pre-season. He never had a decent chance in DC with the two coaches he played for - "The Old Ball Coach" nearly got him killed with his "Fun and Gun" BS and Gibbs just never gave him a decent look. 124
If he did have a QB genius trait (which he doesn't) he wouldn't have pulled Ramsey after a half of football. Ramsey would've taken them past Seattle.

rajensen088
The fallacy of Eric Mangini and his 'Defensive Genius' One year as a DC of the Patriots. Worst Patriot defensive ranking since before Parcells was HC of the NEP. Neither Ted Cottrell nor Donnie Henderson ever had worse defensive rankings than Mangini in his only year as a DC. The highlights: Patriots in 2005. 26th ranked in total defense Patriots in 2005. 31st ranking in pass defense Patriots in 2005. 31st ranking in defensive turnovers Patriots in 2005. 28th worse NFL team in defensive penalties committed. How is that awful record going to make Patrick Ramsey anyying more than what he is, a first round bust who was benched three times by different coaches. How is that awful record going to make Patrick Ramsey anyying more than what he is, a first round bust who was benched three times by different coaches. They certainly started out slowly with their new DC & a lot of injuries, but here's the Pats after the week 7 bye (when they were still only 3-3) Wk 8 Gave up 16 pts to Buffalo Wk 9 Got their asses handed to them by undefeated Indy Wk 10 Were leading Miami 20-7 with 4 min left before letting up some meaningless yds/pts Wk 11 Pats beat NO 27-17. Were leading 27-7 with 3 min left before putting in 2nd-stringers Wk 12 gave up a lot to KC & lost Wk 13 Pats beat Jets 16-3. Didn't give up a first down until the 2nd half. Wk 14 Pats were beating Buf 35-0 w/2 min left when Losman threw a 50-yd TD vs the 2nd-stringers Wk 15 Pats shut out TB (then 9-4) Wk 16 Pats were winning 28-7 going into 4th Q vs Jets before loosening up on D. Wk 17 Pats were playing their backup players vs Miami's first team. WC game - beat the 12-4 Jags 28-3 Div Champ game - lost 27-13 but everyone knows the turning point in that one was Brady's pick in the endzone returned to the 1. Defense gave up <200 passing yds and <100 rushing yds to the 13-3 Broncos. Yeah, Mangini's defense sucked all year. You also neglected to mention that with the slow start & all the injuries they finished #8 vs the run.
