Jan. 17: With Belichick, nobody feels love: Unhappy with contract talks after tying for the NFL lead with 10 interceptions, potential free-agent cornerback Asante Samuel blasted the Patriots in an interview with the Globe: "They show you such a low regard. ... You'd think I would have been around this team long enough to realize it's all about business." The Patriots eventually gave Samuel the franchise tag. Jan. 29: Jilted hubby sets sights on Bill: Belichick reportedly faces a subpoena over his relationship with a married New Jersey woman. March 4: Johnson says Belichick "played God" with his health: Former linebacker Ted Johnson accused Belichick of prodding him to play with concussions. Biggest news coming out of Foxboro after they won a Superbowl is Ty blasting Bill and Banta-Cain losing his ring in a bathroom. No arrests.
