CoachTsurfing
I hate what if's like that. Yeah the jets dropped the ball, do we have to keep reliving?
mbn007
Revisionist history. You can ask what if all over the joint. What if each team did not pass on Brady a few years ago, at least 5 times each? What if....... The article is a waste of good bandwidth.
AfterBurner10
Interesting what if, but consider how Marino would have handled the spotlight of the NY media , and the overall pressure of being a NY QB. You can only count the really successful NY qb's on one hand(Namath,Simms). So would the success he ha in a laid back football market like Miami been the same as in NY, or would he have folded under pressure? I think he would have been just as succesful in NY as he was in Miami, and also would have been marketing more products than Isotoner Gloves, and been in more movies than just Ace Ventura. Something else to consider- What if the St.Louis Cardinals had drafted and paid Namath all the money he was looking for? Would Namath's career been as successful in St.Louis as it was in NY, would he even be a hall of famer???
#27TheDominator
I hate what if's like that. Yeah the jets dropped the ball, do we have to keep reliving? What if Attila the Hun had a Sherman tank? The interesting point to me is that Marino dropped in the draft due to alleged "character issues." Something to consider while we are drafting our choirboys. PeterNorth09
I wonder if they'll be asking "What if the Jets had drafted Matt Leinart or Jay Cutler 10 years from now?"
Maxman
I wonder if they'll be asking "What if the Jets had drafted Matt Leinart or Jay Cutler 10 years from now?" Nah, we will all be so broken up over letting Vern Davis slip away.
