There is some good stuff here. From the guys over at http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com

Clearing out the fridge here in the Cold, Hard Football Facts rec room (a ping-pong table, 12 DVDs worth of porn and a Walter Payton poster), we came across a real find.

Way in the back, behind the vat of buffalo wings and the Korean barbecue, we found a case of factual refreshment: 24 bits from the 2006 season that bear repeating as we inch closer to the NFL season.

Thanks Gainzo

I guess Jon Gruden is not the offensive whiz he was portrayed in the media.

I would hope a coach that is hired would have more wins than their predecessor as far as Jet coaches.

I'm still baffled by some people calling the 49ers a playoff team this year.

16. The 49ers surrendered more than 400 points for the third straight season in 2006. From 1981 to 1997, the period during which they won five Super Bowls and were perennial championship contenders, they never surrendered more than 300 points in a season.

Tully Banta-Cain and Nate Clements aren't going to add much to that pathetic defense.

Banta-Cain had his chance to be a starter in New England and blew it. Nate Clements had 3 picks last year and is an egotistical maniac.

Both received huge dollars from the 49ers.

I like what Gruden brings to the table but he has not had the qb that he needs for his system. Garcia could put up some numbers for him especially if Mike Clayton gets his head out of his a$$.. my boy Stovall could be taking his spot

Is this a serious question? Come on man...

The Cowboys with Aikman, Irving, and Emmit

I was kidding mate. That Cowboys team was stacked. I would take them over the Pats.

Keep in mind that there was no salary cap back then.

I don't know, I really believe that players get faster and stronger each era. I remember when Slash was something special during that time in the 90's as far as scrambling quarterbacks go... Look at Vick and Vince... Kordell had nothing on them in his prime.

Call me crazy but I think the Pats team would put up a good fight and Adam V would be clutch as always.

7. Michael Vick led the Falcons in rushing in seven games last year. Six of those games were losses.

Yes, but if it were not for Vick's time killing ball control, the Falcons would have lost those games by larger margins. He is a true superstar.

Those Cowboys teams were stacked on both sides of the ball.

Their OLine was sick and their skill guys were even better: Aikman, Smith, Irvin, Harper, Novacheck, etc.

The D had Norton, Sanders, Maryland and Woodson.
