Bugg Posted September 21, 2007 Share Posted September 21, 2007 Ran into a childhood chum I hadn't seen in 15 years who moved to KC and lives in the same Catholic parish as Herman Edwards. Edwards was until very recently beloved, because he's so full of pep and BS. But even they're getting a little tired of the act. He's wearing through his welcome at light speed. At some point-when he's fired?-Edwards will be a footnote. I saw Al Groh at a high school game a few years back and but for the Virginia sweatsuit would've had no idea who he was. At one time during his postcareer troubles, Mark Gastineau lived not to far away and frequented a friend's bagel store. One day, you and 78,000 are screaming your head off for a guy; a decade alter he's just another guy drinking coffee and BSing in a store. Same thing-over time, so what? Edwards simply is not an NFL head coach. It requires a knowledge of technique and strategy he will never possess. He also is not a nice guy, once you pull back that BS veneer.He might be good at something having to do with football on the high school or college level.
