anskyruben
I'll keep Derek Jeter at shortstop, no matter what anyone says.
Zeebers
Jeter is more valuable to his current team than he would be for any other team. For any other team he is no more than a good shortstop.
Matt39
He's still a first ballot hall of famer.

AFJF
From a pure statistical standpoint Jeter is overpaid. He's still a good investment for a team to make with the revenue he generates in ticket and jersey sales.

Jade Green
Last week the players voted Jeter the number 1 player they would start a team with, this week he is over rated. I really put allot of stock in that.

Sharrow
Lol, so he was voted by the players as the #2 player they would build a team around and then a week later he was voted by the players as the #1 overrated player in MLB. Funny stuff. http://www.nypost.com/seven/06202008/sports/yankees/player_poll__jeter_overrated_116306.htm http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-spjeter0621,0,6353834.story I think one half got it right and the other didn't. Yup I told ya, and I think the players had him as number 1 for both categories in sports illustrated. That's got to hold allot of water, no? Blackout
Jeter is a very good player, but do you really believe what you just wrote. Hanley is a better player but Jeter has put in work more but I'd certainly rank Jeter over his over contemporaries (Nomar, Tejada, Young)
