  1. Past hour
  2. I think Codrington has a shot since he is supposed to be a plus return man. With all the chatter about how important that is becoming. I hear chatter about how Corley could be good at it, but he didn't do it. This kid was like 3rd in the FCS in punt returns 15 yards per. Seems like a nice gamble for a try-out.
  3. Just stumbled across this: LB Sam Eguavoen Re-Signs with Jets (newyorkjets.com) So, Sam Eguavoen can be removed from the URFA list, he's a Jet again - for now.
  4. You seem to be determined to twist what I said into something you want it to be. “Puzzling”…”Whine”? Huh? What are you talking about? I just included my our conversation above this quote, because I want to be clear what you’re talking about. Maybe it’s me, but all I see is me relating what Coach said the kid needs to do this offseason, and then saying we’ll see come OTA’s whether the kid listened. How you got from my original post to where you are in your second reply quite honestly, amazes me.
  5. Why not. I bet every player but Nate Newton and The Big Ticket got similar advice.
  6. How about in the first half when Hartenstein was "blocked" going to the hoop and by blocked I mean the defender jumped on him and draped his entire arm on top of his head. lmao
  7. Too bad, was kind of hoping this kid would stick, Someone said PeeWee had medical issues @Jet Nut? I know nothing at all about QB Andrew Peasley & QB Colby Suits.
  8. I'd like to see it.... just seems to me since 2011, our 1st rounders have under whelmed. But yes, I don't follow other teams and I'm sure they have their share of busts as well.
  9. I'm pretty sure Rodgers will kick his soccer ball into the upper decks if he's still f'n around while he's on the field. He won't bounce back to what we thought we were getting mainly because they'll be better options in front of him but he won't be completely useless like last year
  10. Every 1st round pick in the history of the NFL has great college stats. I'd like to see him play more... he looks small compared to the average NFL player at his position.
  11. Yes and makes your complaint that it’s not what you want to hear puzzling. It’s like you never read that before. Or it’s just another whine about a draft pick because he wasn’t named JSN. Am I wrong or did you not say that’s not what you want to hear? Did you question whether he’ll get more than 19% of the snaps?
  12. he's still 2nd until williams proves his health and corley proves he can do it in the NFL
  13. I am pretty sure the whole point was for that attorney to get on TV and in the paper. If he sues the Jets he will get multiple articles with his name in the Post and someone will remember it. Even when it is for losing the summary judgment motion. That video is pretty typical of someone that does not know how to handle power. When the car starts to swerve he doesn't know how to react. Dodge used to send people for free to one of the driving experience classes when they bought those things. My Dad's only had 425 hp and they sent him. This dipsh*t probably didn't take them up on it even though that Charger will be 707+
  14. Only because your not actually a Jet fan, just a guy on a message board with a solid schtick who enjoys the attention gotten by being a contrarian.
  15. I wish people would just let the kid play and stop judging him negatively on something he had no control over last year. If he failed to register any sacks or forced Fumbles in his very limited playing experience I would doubt him but that's not the case... I expect to see more of this from him which Huff was unable to do. With Reddick the focus of our pass rush he's in a perfect complimentary position to do what Kiper projected below. McDonald’s 34 career sacks are an Iowa State record. It’s tied for the Big 12 record. He forced 10 fumbles, which proves his ball-hawking skills. “I loved his forced fumble production,” said ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. “He’s a situational pass rusher who can immediately help any defense.” With that said, what people question about him is valid... yet he played all over the defensive line in college because teams double teamed him, yet he still proved effective. IMO they should give him a chance to prove he can do the same at the NFL level or if he fails just use him as Kiper suggested and get consistent 10 sacks a year, along with a handful of forced fumbles, which will most likely be his base. NFL.com says he’s “lean though the waist, hips and thighs ... and that he’s strong, but lacking NFL mass.” How much can he provide in run support? Can he play 25-30 snaps a game? He was quicker and more athletic than some college players trying to block him. That won’t be the case in the NFL.
  16. Really? I’ve heard those things about players after their rookie seasons forever.
  17. No argument about Wilson and Hall, those two are no brainers. I do think you’re vastly overrating what Corley’s impact and role will be this year however. IMO he’s going to be behind both Lazard and Williams (when healthy). Probably your guy Gipson and maybe Brownlee also. He’s a rookie from a mid major school. I don’t see him stepping into a big role on a win now team. That doesn’t mean I want to see Lazard get time over him, or that Lazard will put up big numbers this year, it’s just what’s going to happen. This CS plays their veterans, and Lazard, like him or not has a history with, and meshes well with Rodgers. Let’s be real… the OC and HC know that, and the vets will be out there with Aaron.
  18. Put it this way.... how could he be any worse? At least with Rodgers under center, Lazard knows if he slouches again, he will get the wrath of Aaron.
  19. Lazard was the worst kind of quit-on-his-team, low-effort, didn't care bum in 2023. I strenuously hope he's not on our roster by opening day.
  20. So the "early win" streak is alive as the Mets won (both via the "early win -up by 2 and outright win.) Happy to get the +100 odds on that one. Had I picked the Marlins at +250, who went up 2-0 in the top of the 1st vs the Dodgers, that $100 bet would have brought back $350. The other two bets, Cleveland and Texas also hit. My Pirates and Rangers small RL bets also hit. Great MLB day. If you're not doing the "early Win", then you are missing out. Seriously. It gives you two ways to win but at the same odds as an ordinary ML bet. Literally turns the odds to significantly better than the DK book. Not sure how much longer DK will keep this up. They were supposed to end it in April, but it's still being offered.
  21. Hoping it works out! We wont know for a few years. I always think back to the F grade that Bleacher Report gave the Seahawks when they drafted russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner...that worked out ok, I think.
