hoping4ASuperBowl
per Rotoworld.com: Patriots placed CB Ras-I Dowling (hip) on injured reserve, ending his season. A move that makes the Patriots' Friday release of Leigh Bodden all the more baffling. The No. 33 overall pick in last spring's draft, Dowlling appeared in just two games this season after turning in an injury-plagued senior season at Virginia. He has now dealt with hip, hamstring, knee and ankle injuries the past two years. New England's 32nd ranked pass defense is now down to just Devin McCourty, Kyle Arrington, Antwan Molden and Phillip Adams at cornerback. Ben Roethlisberger could have a career day And releasing Bodden, this is pretty strange. Beli is such a genius.

hoping4ASuperBowl
I have rapistberger as my starting QB this weekend. I can't wait to see him destroy that defense.
stoicsentry
The ESPN report is somehow spinning this as an almost positive event, saying the Patriots are thin at corner but Belli was doing what was right for the team in the long run by releasing Bodden. I don't get it.

I don't get it. What? Nice that you ignore Reiss' speculation that maybe Bodden was riding the bench a little more than necessary? I am sure Beli decided to cut Bodden for no other reason that to make it a challenge for his team.

Jetscode1
Setting up a Troy Brown return to the secondary??? At this point that probably the wise move...or maybe they move Ochocinco to the secondary so we can see the genius that is BB.
jetsjetsjetss
idk i hate beli with a passion but i see how releasing bodden was good. He a great builder because he does things that are maybe not popular but necessary. His D sucks right now so even with releasing people he believes suck it cant get much worse. Jared
When was the last time the Patriots corners stayed relative healthy an entire season? 2003?
BroadwayJ667
Belichick really can't draft corners. Only one true good one, Asante Samuel, and he didn't want to pay him.
Sperm Edwards
They're just clearing room in their secondary for Troy Brown.

I don't get it. That's because it's stated ESPN policy to verbally fellate Bill Belichick every chance they get.
