First of all, those guys you named are all FA. That doesn't mean the team is in re-building mode. Some will obviously be re-signed.

And I'll believe that Bart Scott gets cut when I see it. Even then, he would probably just re-sign for a smaller contract.

That is the least likely scenario of all. If Jason's right about the offset clause then the Jets don't save a nickel by doing that, and at least in 2012, with the accelerated hit of his prior bonus money, it costs more to cut and re-sign him for (even the vet minimum) than it would be to just leave his contract as is. They only save money if he signs with someone else.
