faba
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have added another defensive lineman, agreeing to terms with defensive end Ropati Pitoitua. Titans S Bernard Pollard talks about being cut by the Ravens, Baltimore's perception of Joe Flacco, player safety in the NFL and more. More Podcasts » The Titans announced the deal Monday. "Ropati gives us the big body we were looking for at the defensive end position. He has played a number of games and been productive," Titans general manager Ruston Webster said in a statement. "He should be an asset for us in the run game at end and also could give us flexibility on game days with the ability to kick inside for some snaps." Pitoitua is a four-year veteran with 37 games played in stops with the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. He started 10 of his 15 games last year with the Chiefs where he led the linemen with 32 tackles. He also had two sacks, five tackles for loss and a forced fumble. The Titans also signed defensive tackle Sammie Hill at the start of free agency. Copyright 2013 by The Associated Press

#27TheDominator
Sione is still out there I'm guessing that he is a bit dinged up to even work out. I think that is why nobody is dealing with him right now. I know at the end of the season they were talking about him maybe needing surgery. New York Mick
Not a major loss but he would have been a solid signing at the right price.
bitonti
Sione is still out there so is Pace actually. I'd welcome either of these guys back on reduced deals. Brandon Moore too.
j4jets
so is Pace actually. I'd welcome either of these guys back on reduced deals. Brandon Moore too. Agreed. If anything, Pace would be great for depth, while Moore can still play decently. I'd love an upgrade via draft though.

I would look at Slauson over Moore, due to age. If we finished our off-season by signing: Slauson, Pouha and Pace that would put us in a better position. It would relieve the pressure to take a guard or defensive lineman.

I wouldn't mind Pace at a reduced price for another yr. or two if they wanted to really load up on offense.
